University-Industry Global Development Office
In April 2024, the University-Industry Global Development Office was newly established within the Institute for the Promotion of Business-Regional Collaboration.
Through our Overseas Liaison Offices located in North America, Europe and Asia, the University-Industry Global Development Office will serve as an international hub to promote global industry-academia collaboration with a worldwide perspective, including activities such as local information gathering, industry-academia collaboration with overseas companies, and strengthening collaboration with overseas investors to support growing startups.
Role of the University-Industry Global Development Office
- Advance and strengthen global collaboration between academia and industry with a worldwide perspective
- Serve as the nerve center for our system of Overseas Liaison Offices located in North America, Europe and Asia
- Gather localized information from overseas and share information related to research seeds at HU
- Collaborate with overseas investors
- Develop the human resources (entrepreneurs, support personnel) who will engage in future global industry-academia collaboration
